Last night, I redesigned and knit the kitty ears part of the hat that I'm making (to match the mittens). Mr. Bear agreed to serve as a model. Here he is, against Neil's desk.

So, um, remember what I said about "striping" the hat? Having gotten through the bottom of the hat, I'm pretty sure there isn't enough for real stripes -- so the hat is going to be mostly a Mr. Bear colored shade, with a chocolatey bottom and top.

I am going to test this theory with the "jeans" I'm knitting for Deb's baby (I am starting to hate these jeans, by the way -- they offer no forgiveness for my fingers) and put them on a very BIG bear. Or a panther.
