Marathon halftime
Mar. 17th, 2007 08:14 pmThe flu came and went quickly, thankfully, leaving me mostly anxious about catching up, and mostly succeeding, after a series of marathon practice sessions in preparation for my Shiatsu hands on practical.
I feel like what they say about energy work really is true: the primary benefit is to the giver of the work, as much as to the client. I felt like I was walking on sunshine after my hands on practical; I wish more people knew about it, and how much better you can feel afterwards. I've had both Shiatsu and Swedish massages given to me, and the best I've felt afterwards was always in a Shiatsu session.
Anyway, On To The Pathology/Neuropathology final. I swear, I will never be massaging someone with Amyotropic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's disease), yet I have to know all about it and how to help work with doctors and treat it. Sigh.
