Not "settling"

kimberkitI discovered great writer Savannah Lee today, who made me nod my head in agreement with the entire "settling" versus "loneliness" article by Lori Gottlieb. Specifically, she notes the dangers of "settling" -- with a "teammate" who isn't on your side, and who might end up turning into your mortal enemy.
The lesson of the story: trust your instincts, and don't compromise your ideals just because you think you're not worth more. Compromise when you talk about figuring out *mutual* goals, in discussions, and listen, but don't compromise love for someone who "might do."
