Photo stories & love at dusk

Kim's photoshoot at Riverside Park yesterday after her hysterical dramafest proved some funny things. Firstly: people assume that tripod = real photographer. And couples and a group of German tourists (whose camera asks you things like, "ja?" when you push the shutter) will ask you to stop and take their photo. This is amusing, to my mind because:

(1) I was wearing jeans, a white cat t-shirt that said "Beach Bum," and wielding a tiny, pocket sized Canon Elph camera. Not a professional look, definitely.
(2) How on earth could they know that the yutz with a tripod was actually anywhere close to being a good photographer? And in the dark with a point-and-shoot camera with foreign instructions, with no shutter control... uh, no.
(3) Real photographers are in business, so you're giving a photographer potential money when you solicit... hey wait! I should carry around a tripod more often!


On a different note, I think I may need f-stops on my camera, for better focus. But I love the colors my camera gets anyway :) Anyway, enjoy some pretty dusk photos:

I could swear when I first looked at this, I had to click to see these photos, and the un-peopled shot was up front. I happened to like the un-peopled shot.
