(cross-posted to my real journal)
As
greenfountain says, some days life is just good, and you have to enjoy it. I went out today, got semi-lost in Van Cortlandt Park (I failed to find the lake; also, for next time, I must remember to bring a kite and a bottle of water), gave up to enjoy the day, plopped down on a random grassy knoll, and read Nina Kiriki Hoffman. The semi-lost experience was quite pleasant, though, because, as soon as I finished with my book, and traced back my steps, I passed many, many runners, all of whom were young and male and buff. And wearing teensy little short-shorts.
Have I mentioned that I am a lecherous rear-end sort of girl? I am.
Then I came back and made myself a pound and a half of rare steak with rosemary-flavored potatoes. I wish one of you could have shared some of the yummy steak with me, but as it is, we'll have to make it a raincheck. Meanwhile, I'm so cool that I have a date with myself for baking fresh chocolate chip cookies and eating them all by myself. Jealous yet?
