The NY Times blogs about a "love vaccine", toying with the idea that we could prevent ourselves from falling in love. Better living through chemicals.

In the article, one researcher mentions that SSRI antidepressants already help us from forming longterm attachments. Holy fuck! That was not on the list of side effects.

I don't even know what to think.

Interesting stuff. I wonder if mucking with chemical attraction (both inhibitors and increasers) will lead to a resurgence in arranged marriages.
