Life lesson of the day: do not screw around with your body. It will kick your ass. Take care of it.
I fainted today in class. I have low blood sugar, and for some reason decided that I could act like I did when I was 15, and just forget about feeding myself regularly. I mean, I had a small bowl of chili for breakfast a few hours before class, but it was a hands on class today, in a hot room, and I failed to get food during the lecture break.
So there I was, working nicely on a classmate's neck, when all of a sudden I felt dizzy. I sat down, but kept working. Neck work can be small movements, if you want it to be. Then the ears rang and the colors started going in front of my eyes, and the next thing I knew, my forehead was on the table, and the T.A. for the class was like "Kim, what's wrong?"
I'm really glad that I didn't do that in front of a client. And that the T.A. and instructor were extremely fast in getting me water, and getting me to put head between legs, etc.
