I answer just about everything that anyone ever asks me anyway, but in case you have a burning curiousity about my past, my daily life, or whatever else you can think of... ask me. Kinky questions are allowed too.

We love those memes. This was lifted from [livejournal.com profile] icetulip :)

Odd...

For someone who goes through the trouble of locking some entries and passwording her private journal, I'm surprised to see this on the public page. So here's an unfair snipe:

What question(s) are you really hoping nobody asks you?

Hmm. Well, I figured that if the questions were really, *really* personal, I'd simply answer them privately :) I'm really hoping nobody asks me how much I weigh right now, though. Or how my apartment search is coming. Shudder.

-Do you identify yourself as bisexual? From what I've read, you've had intimate and/or sexual relationships with both men and women, but from what I understand, you started being with men first. I don't want to seem like I'm giving you a label, but do you have more than one sexual orientation?

-Did you grow up in a "traditional" Asian family? You seem highly academic, with with a lust for life and creativity that I don't find in many of my friends who grew up in strict/firm families, including friends who are from India, the Czech Republic, and other places. I am certainly not implying that individuals who grew up in non-American families lack a lust for life or creativity, but most of them seem completely driven by a career or money. Basically, how have your roots shaped you?

-Are you a coffee or tea person? (or both?) If so, what kind(s)?

Wow. Cool questions, Ingrid.

Here we go: I do identify as bisexual, because it's the easiest label -- not because I'm "more straight than gay," but because my personal preferences change depending on the month. I admit to having dated and loved more men than women, but I suspect that's partly because my standard for what's acceptable in girls is higher -- and the women I've dated have been consistently cooler than the men :P

(2) I have no idea what you mean by a traditional Asian family, although I think you're correct in saying that I"m a bit too strange to have been raised truly strictly. On the other hand, I got indoctrinated with the "respect your elders" and "be responsible" and "academics above all" and stuff, and certainly took my fair share of abuse :)

(3) Tea, I think :) Earl grey, mint, peach, and rose tea.

Coffee is a recent addiction I'm not too happy about, but it does kick-start my morning, when I'm completely dead otherwise. Jess laughed when I finally went over to the dark side -- teaching broke me, I tell you :) I'm generally not drinking it for taste, though.

Keep 'em coming :)
