Donating blood is one of those things I can do that makes a significant difference to someone. So I do it.
But I always forget that it makes me dizzy and weak, and apparently a bit stupid, too, because I always want to sleep afterwards without eating.
Then the next day I'm depressed (and the world is a sad place) because not only does my body hate me for having given away a pint of blood, but my blood sugar is low. I HAVE to remember to do better. Next time, a Plan.
ETA -- I took the day off and had some sleep and more water and food. I don't feel so horrible anymore. Yay!

But good for you for giving blood. I always used to donate (I was disqualified a few years ago.). Then one night, I was given two units of blood because I was so weak and dizzy (from anemia) that I couldn't stand up. You're saving someone's life!
But you totally shouldn't have to feel depressed to do it! FOOD IS GOOD!
