Our newest Educational course runs three and a half hours, not three. The teacher lectures a lot. It's almost unbearable how awful and flat her lecturing style is, too -- world's Most Boring Bitch. Also, she's assigning 500 words on the reading for every class -- and we meet twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays. It's totally awful, and the worst part is I'm totally disinterested in her

The only thing that made stupid Ed classes better was taking this pretty fountain photo after class, and then coming home and talking to Matt L., and Jenn, for a bit.

heh. a math teaching fellow actually didn't attend his classes this semester, and when i asked how he managed that, he said, "well, they'll either kick me out of the program and I'll get unemployment, or I'll take the classes in the summer."

I don't have the balls for that.

But yeah, I had the same thought about the reading. Sadly, she was very clear: journals count for 25% of your grade, and active class participation related to the reading counts another 30%. I can't afford to sack 50% of my grade... I guess I could sack 40% and settle for a C-, though. Hmm. There's a thought.

yes, do keep in mind that all you need to do is pass. your credential isn't going to say jack about your grades in ed classes.

also, remember the grand art of skimming :)
