Oops.

My computer just fried itself. I'm typing this from my laptop. I'm very, very lucky that I'd finished all the important stuff on the project, and have the relevent layout/photo editing software installable on DVD; I was stupid enough not to back up the material, but hopefully when they repair the computer (in about a week) they won't have to wipe the hard drive.

I may be offline more, though, as my laptop is significantly more finicky :/

I fried my laptop--but I'm using it now anyway. I just fried the hard drive, so I'm running from a Linux CD. It's actually kind of cool. It makes me wonder whether I need a hard drive.
