Lots. of. sushi
Feb. 2nd, 2006 08:15 pmSo there's a place on 72nd between Amsterdam and Columbus that has $20 all-you-can-eat sushi. I've had eyeprints on this place for ages, but because I was mad at myself for not writing an application essay and getting my ass in gear already, I figured I should stop being mad at myself and try to bribe myself with sushi instead.
And oh, man, did I go overboard. A friend was supposed to come over, but bailed on me (grumble), so instead of eating the perfectly servicable chicken tikka masala dinner I cooked for two, I just pigged out on the sushi. Spicy tuna handroll was okay, as was the philadelphia roll, but mostly I pigged out on 4 unagi nigiri, a dragon roll (6 pieces), and 3 pieces of spider roll. I thought very seriously about asking for scallop nigiri, but I was too full to move afterwards. I'm not sure I'll do that ever again (so-so sushi) but it sure was fun.
