I hate it when people are such a drag, don't you? So I'll try not to be one.

Cheerful notes from the boat:

(1) Massage rules my world. I forgot I was on a rocky-sickening-making boat when she put hot rocks against my skin, and even for a few hours afterwards, I wasn't nauseous. I've decided that I really should try a career in massage -- it doesn't use your brain much, but it sure makes people happy. And it would put me back in touch with my sensuous self.

(2) Dramamine and Advil are miracle drugs. After hours of a pounding headache, vastly sharpened senses (a simple touch feels like sandpaper on your skin, and the colors are blinding...), and insane dizziness, I gave up my normal stance of "tough it out if it doesn't kill you." I heart not feeling sick.

(3) We saw Ketchikan, a tiny Alaskan town, today, and I learned lots of interesting Indian mythology in totem pole carving. My brother has decided to be incredibly funny -- at the tourist trap, he bought an overly tight t-shirt that said "Happy Hookers Fishing Lodge, where you're guaranteed to catch SOMETHING," and then walked around actually wearing it. We both seriously debated buying the moose candy dispenser that disposed chocolate M&Ms through its ass, but settled for buying regular candy.

(4) The bread here is yummy. This is key.

(5) I miss you all. That's great, because it tells me you're important, and that I'm not so tired out that my priorities are bent.

Much love...
