Computer woes
Jul. 15th, 2005 11:16 pmThe computer people I dragged my machine to said it might be a week before they knew anything, because of the time it took to order parts. (This is after a few hours of runaround by Apple; the store in SoHo has a wait list of repair times, and the CompUSA I first took my computer to -- all 40 pounds of it -- didn't have an apple technician on staff, despite the fact that they said they did when I called them.)
On the bright side, my oldest friend gets married in 2 weeks, and I'm her bridesmaid. (Which means I better hustle to Bergdorf's to buy a silk blouse in the right shade of silver, for her wedding, to match my silver evening-length skirt.) But it's rather sweet -- she's found her love at last, and I can't even be too envious, because she likes him so much. And I like him.
Also, Harry Potter countdown = 40 minutes.
