Surrounded by brilliance

kizlj once said that she wouldn't date anyone who wasn't smarter than her. For my part, since I seem to be surrounded by natively quick, thorough minds, I wonder how good that can possibly be for the ego -- I'm starting to feel like a dunce, comparatively!

I almost never think of myself as being intelligent, despite the fact that I'm relatively confident in my brainpower. Intelligence simply isn't a point of pride, so much as something to be assumed. So it's hard when I start questioning the very basics...
