Assorted updatey babble
Aug. 15th, 2007 10:56 amUpdates:
- Okay, my mother is now officially driving me crazy over wedding details. Not to mention all the actual details I think I want to work on.
- In exciting news, at least the dress is mostly done. They have to add a thing to hook the train of the dress up so I don't drag it around during the reception, and fix a poky wire in the bodice, but it's all good; I'll pick it up on Tuesday.
- I am now wearing contacts, and they seem to be working out okay.
- KoL mall selling is an interesting exercise in supply and demand. Two days ago, for instance, whitesnakeskin dusters were selling for $16,000. I thought that was totally outrageous, but, being an Evil Capitalist and being of the correct class to make them, did so and sold them at an enormous profit. Today, someone came in glutted the market with a huge supply of them for a price of $4,000, and the market has totally shifted! That's a 75% loss, sadly. Fortunately, unlike in the real world, where people are losing their homes, this is only make-believe money.
- Post-renewal-ceremony vacation!: maybe Napa? Colorado Springs? We're still trying to figure that bit out.

Date: 2007-08-15 05:42 pm (UTC)And yeah, KoL mall prices are fascinating. Like any market, some people make millions playing every day, which means many other people lose small amounts. But since it's fake money, people can afford to play around more, leading to bizarre supply and demand situations where prices of any given item can shoot up or down, sometimes irrespective of their actual in-game utility. New items are almost always way overpriced for the first day.
