kimberkit | Notice to anyone who wants to visit or live with me

Okay, so after the world's craziest morning with the photocopying for the project I'm working on (god help me, but the man at the Kinko's this morning was on the incompetent side), my computer fried, as I wrote earlier. Fortunately, there was a computer repair person conveniently located 7 blocks from me. I called him and he told me he was running errands for the rest of the day but would order the part I needed and that I should drop off the computer within the next 45 minutes. I give up on ever having lunch, and cheerfully put the computer on a handcart.

This is a public notice: Riverside Blvd, where I live, has very, very gusty winds at mid-day. I don't think I'd ever realized quite how bad it was...

... because the wind was so strong that a 120-pound Kim, loaded down with a 30-pound computer on wheels, got literally knocked into a building, and slammed with the handcart-plus-computer. Which promptly fell over. Which, I'm sure, wasn't good for whatever's wrong with the computer. (I'm guessing a fried logic board or power supply, but since the power supply was replaced 6 months ago, it's probably the logic board). It's probably not good for whatever isn't wrong with it, either, come to think of it.

Anyway, if you'd like to visit me, use Freedom Place, and come in from the side of the building, not the front of the building.
