Massage therapist, heal thyself
Sep. 14th, 2006 06:08 pmI'm not even halfway through my massage program and I've screwed up my lower back. During Shiatsu class, in case anyone was wondering -- all that kneeling and pushing from my hara (center) really is hell on my lower back, which is genetically weak anyway. One more doctor's bill to worry about on an already-tight budget; I was already going to see a podiatrist tomorrow for my feet, which constantly supinate (that is, in English, I walk on the outsides of my feet, thus putting a lot of strain on the heel and outsides. This also sucks for posture and, you guessed it, screws up the lower back.)
In the meantime, I'm waiting for Neil to come home and walk down with me to the gym, where there are mats, so that he can supervise me doing lower-back extensions to strengthen those wretched erector muscles.
