4 AM on a Wednesday
Jun. 20th, 2007 04:08 amThis weekend, I pulled my shoulderblades out of place while sleeping on my side. This residually hurts, so I am awake. (Don't worry too much; I've dealt with it as much as I can by myself & I see a massage therapist tomorrow).
In other news, I actually had a
cosmicbabe moment when I found myself grumbling at another student in the class about personal responsibility. He was on a rant about how unfair it was that doctors don't always take massage therapists seriously. I told him that yes, it was unfair (duh, that's life...) but that if he stopped worrying about people other than his client and instead tried to be the best therapist he could be, everyone else might take him a little more seriously.
It's so easy to direct your energies to stupid complaining, or to being discouraged, when validation should really come from knowing you fought the good fight.

Date: 2007-06-20 04:07 pm (UTC)I hear ya on the complaining bit (though I fall into it myself a lot) ... much in life is unfair, but we do best to overcome it in our little portions of the world, and hope that, adding up with others, it changes things ... or something like that.
