Baking away the day

The cupcakes were a rousing success, for better or for worse -- now I don't know that we can go back to slightly-dry-and-stale store-bought cupcakes!

I'm making biscuits now with the rest of the buttermilk. I'm hoping that other people who like biscuits more than me will magically show up and eat them all. I can't bear the idea of just letting buttermilk sour in the fridge.

ETA: Did you know that biscuits should be the texture of cottage cheese, so that the wet allows them to rise all fluffy and stuff in the oven? Bakewise is a smart book.

you could have also made scones, pancakes, or waffles...

I did consider those, along with "buttermilk ranch dressing," but I don't particularly like pancakes or waffles, and my previous attempts at dressing and scones have not been very good (the scones ended up being biscuits, and the dressing was a runny mess).
